Making Disciples - Transforming the World

Serving, Giving, Changing the World

The missions program at MUMC (Middlesex United Methodist Church) strives to meet the needs of others on the local, national and international levels. The goal is to have a program that reaches "outside the walls" and to involve as many people as possible being the "hands and feet" of Jesus. We do this in a few different ways:

 1. Hands-on Service:  Whether it's passing out blankets and hot coffee to Harrisburg's homeless through Bethesda Mobile Mission ... fitting needy kids with brand-new shoes through the Kohl's Cares program ... visiting with the elderly at a local nursing home ... or gleaning for Project Share ... we are continually finding new ways to demonstrate the beauty of being the hands and feet of Jesus and, in doing so, striving to meet the needs of our neighbors.
2. Giving of Goods:  Pastor Jan recently remarked, "It is amazing to see the amount of donated items that come through these doors to serve our community. There is no end to the generosity here at MUMC." Indeed it's astounding how seemingly small donations can add up to change lives in a big way. Canned goods for needy families, homemade cookies for lonely truckers, shoe boxes of toys for children around the world ... our congregation understands the meaning and importance of generosity, and we show it, year-round.
3. Financial Support:  Lead by prayer and consideration, our Missions Team directs financial support to local, national, and international needs each quarter. A few of our significant Mission Partnerships include:
